How to make an autumnal wreath
Step 1: Willow suggests putting the moss in a bucket, letting it soak for twenty minutes, draining it, and then rehanging it. You should always buy more than you need, so you should be generous. If you can source your moss locally or from the garden then even better!
Step 2: Willow suggests mixing various colours ofLimonium. Start by attaching the wire to the wreath base using reel wire, you can also use covered wire, twine or metal instead of reel wire. Use reel wire to attach the moss and flowers to the metal base. Attach it gently but firmly to the wire.
Step 3: You don't need to worry if there are any holes; they will be filled with moss later. Make sure the wire is in the right place. Willow recommends varying the direction in which the flowers are placed.
Step 4: Attach the wreath to the moss with mossing pins. You should check on the wreath from time to time to see how it's doing. To water a wreath like this you want to run a basin and let it drink for 20 minutes, remember to drain it and then hang it back up again.
